WHYNEEMAH
is a small stud situated close to canberra in nsw and started breeding derivatives in 1973
The stud purchased
its first purebred mare in 1975, IKNEENA (IVAN x FARAH) and
in foal to ARIM, she was soon followed by IRAKI NASIRI (SCIMITAR
DESERT PRINCE x LUCINA) in foal to LARAMAH. The 2 year old
LINDEN SILSILA (DAFTAR x GLINT OF SILVER) and the yearling
filly PALADIN BUKRA FI (MUSTIFA (imp) x FARAH). IKNEENA and
NASIRI both had fillies, giving us a good start with 6 females.
In 1976 the search
was on to find a stallion to compliment our mares and that's
when we found KHAWAL (CRYSTAL FIRE (imp) x AUTUMN SUNSHINE
(imp) and the following year BENGHAZI (ROYAL DOMINO (iid)
x PAVLOVA) followed.
We sent LINDEN SILSILA to HAMANA* as a 3 year old and she
also had a filly, W. NAHAMA We continued breeding along these
lines until 1984. In 1980 I saw the fairytale stallion DON
CARLOS* and in 1981 put 3 mares to him. LINDEN SILSILA had
the colt W. JAREBB, W. NAHAMA had the colt DONMANA and W.SHIMONA
(ARIM) had the beautiful filly W. SHAMIRA. The next year I
tried for another filly with W. AZARIAH but the result was
a colt W. DON AZAR. DONMANA went to Patsy and Arthur Williams,
owners of DON CARLOS* W. JAREBB was to become my new sire
and BENGHAZI was sold.
I have been breeding these bloodlines to the present day,
the only horses not to contribute to the present brood mare
band is PALADIN BUKRA FI and IRAKI LUCINDA. All the current
mares have brothers and sisters competing in the sport of
endurance I haven't had any new blood introduced to the breeding
program since 1982.Last year I purchased the mare OSTERLEY
ANNA by RALVON NOAH to go to JAREBB as all his old mares are
gone and his other companion is W. KHEZIA, KHAWAL'S last daughter.
The next step is to find a new sire to breed to JAREBB'S daughters.
In 2001 I purchased the magnificent pure Crabbet colt FOXBRIDGE
FANFARE, but his tragic loss at 18 months was devastating
to the stud.
My aim is to breed tall horses, 15HH and over with substance
and good movement capable of competing in all areas of performance.
